Catch up for the CQJP 2012

Well I got the blocks done but just couldn't get into my blog, does help to use the right email address and password combination apparently LOL.

October Block, a bit cloudy.

September Block, still need to add some flowers to the bottom

Teddy bear lost, it was such fun to do and just flowed together like some blocks do

July block. Every Owl needs a feed.

June Block,  was a problem but turned out quite pretty.

At least I seem to be keeping up with this project though I'm not sure how well they will all go together, half way through so we will soon find out.

These little ducks, have been pinned on my craft room wall for over a year, I just knew there was a project that would be just right for them eventually.

March Crazy Quilt Journal Project

I really had fun doing this block, not sure what it will look like when joined to whatever goes next.  I've done a rough sketch of each block, with three categories of colour/pattern,  1- blue sky, 2- water and 3- garden then  put the sketches into a bag.  I'm taking one out in the last week of each month to piece ready to embellish in the following month.  Fabric is potluck.  I just put whatever I thought would work together into a big bag, if the sketch says blue or garden then thats whats used,  the last two blocks are actually to go side by side. I'm having to resist the urge to sew them together as I haven't decided if I'm going to add a sashing between each one or butt them together then embellish the seam,  there are some lovely blocks on the Crazy Quilt Journal Project if you haven't been there yet then you really must go and have a look around, its well worth a visit.

This really is very best favourite of them.  Well I still haven't got that last one done so its one more till then.

Well 2 more to go before I need to get that last one made and do the borders. I'm wondering if I should sew them together as in the pattern or add some sashing between them.  hmm, if I do that I will have to decide what colour.  Any ideas would be welcome.

  It was harder then I thought trying to stick to a bottom of the  garden theme.  I wrote down an insect or animal on each of the pieces of  paper that represent each month, this one was caterpillar. Well we can't just have the butterfly.
